POLICIES

The club is committed to providing a safe, fun, equitable cricket experience for all its members. Below is a list of the documents produced by the club covering our commitments to our members and our member’s commitments to the club.

We would like to mention a few specific points that have presented us with some difficulties in the past.  These are:

  • No player is allowed to participate in a Club activity unless a Registration Form has been completed and a Registration Fee paid.  This allows the Club to comply with our insurance policy.
  • Our waiting list is managed on the principle of the date on which an interest was shown.  Therefore, if you have friends who wish to join, ask them to contact us in the first instance.  Please do not bring them along to a training session as they will not be able to participate.
  • In the same vein, if your child has a friend staying for a sleepover who is not a member of the Club, they will not be able to participate in the training.

HELP

The development of the Club can only continue with greater assistance from the parents.  Last year, the small number of volunteers achieved a great deal but we need to share the workload to make ourselves more effective.  We require:

  • Coaches to help manage the sessions.  As a guide, we need a minimum of 2 adults for the older age-groups and 3-4 adults for the smaller children.  You are all perfectly qualified as you have children, can speak to children and can hold a ball.  No specialist cricket knowledge is required.
  • Helpers to prepare the Pavilion and pitches for matches and training (including pre-season preparation).
  • Volunteers to assist with the some social events during the season.  The Age-group Reps will be on the lookout for suitable candidates!

We want to continue to provide a fun, high quality, cricket experience but need your help to do it. If you can assist, please contact any of the Committee.
