PROPOSAL FOR PERMANENT CRICKET NETS

Written by Sean on October 23rd, 2009

The Club is currently investigating the possibility of obtaining a permanent net facility at Warborough.  This would be an important asset to increase the safety of our players and to improve the quality of the coaching.

For more details, please take a look at the entry on the Senior Club’s website; the link is shown below:

No More Training This Year

Written by Sean on July 17th, 2009

For anybody checking the site for the weather watch window, we’re sorry to say that ’stumps have been drawn’ for this year.  Thank you for taking part and we hope to see you all next season.

Use of Warborough Green

Written by Sean on June 5th, 2009

Two notices regarding the use of the facilities:

1.  Road Safety -Please drive slowly and carefully on the narrow roads linking the A329 and The Green.  In addition to our young cricketers, there are a number of children who live in the houses along this road.  Please reduce the risk of any accident.

2.  Glasses - Please take any glasses back to the Six Bells.  This is an often an unwanted task completed by the coaches at the end of long training session.  Please show your consideration and set an example to our young players.

The 2009 season

Written by admin on April 30th, 2009

Preparations for the new season are beginning earlier this year and all of us are looking forward to the Summer’s cricket.  I do not want to mention too much about the weather but, after the last 2 summers, it should be third time lucky!    The Club will pass as much information to you as possible through the website and by e-mail.  However, if you need to know more, please feel free to contact the Club.

Our main aims for this season are to:

  • Consolidate our ability to provide enjoyable cricket training and fixtures for our players.
  • Provide fixtures for our older players through links to the Senior Club.
  • Provide indoor training for hard-ball cricketers.
  • Source nets to offer better training.
  • Organise a Kwik Cricket tournament against local clubs.
  • Develop the social aspect of the Club.
